GET UNSTUFFED
Tips To Navigate Holiday Eating 🦃

I love the holidays! The festive gatherings…the holiday spirit…the lights…the decor…the tasty meals! 🎄

However, I hate feeling STUFFED from just eating too much. Bleh. 🤢 You?

While I am all about enjoying the heck out the Thanksgiving spread, my strategy to GET UNSTUFFED is to minus mindless munching, pace the day and get right back on track the next day.

Here are some tips to help:

  1. Keep count with the bracelet switch. Too many festive drinkies are often the culprit for overeating and generally feeling terrible the next day—which leads to little chance of exercise and getting back on track. Keep track by moving a bracelet from one arm to the other every time you have a drink. (Make sure to drink 16 oz of water in between each too) Don’t drink? Use this to keep track of sweets, snacks, rolls, etc.💧

  2. Turn your back to the snacks. Out of sight, out of mind. Focus on all the fab people around you rather than food.

  3. Share with Tupperware. Provide it or have loved ones bring it to divide up leftovers, so you don’t end up stuffed with stuffing for the next week.

  4. Savor the flavors. Enjoy your meal! Don’t rush through it.

  5. Pace the seconds. After you are done with your plate, chat or help clean rather than running to refill your plate. If you still want more after 20 minutes, go enjoy!

  6. Focus on making memories—those will never leave you feeling too stuffed!

  7. Have a plan to put that meal to work toward your goals of getting stronger! Get a great workout in on Friday. It will not only feel good, it’ll keep momentum on your side! 💪🏽
